Stacy Robinson Studios

This is a freelance client of mine that I have been working with for a number of years in the areas of print and digital design. Stacy Robinson Studios (SRS) makes fine writing instruments, jewelry and accessories. SRS does not have a brick and mortar retail space and sales primarily online, at tradeshows/conferences, and directly to businesses (wholesale/resale).

Note: After three years, we are currently engaged in a redesign/facelift of the site. When complete, this project will be updated.

After sitting down with the client to get a better understanding of who and how user’s entered and interacted with their current site, I created a user flowchart. The client had been getting feedback from returning customers and had a list of pain points with the current site. The user flowchart helped to map out a path that would accomplish the client’s goal (a sale), while removing some of the barriers in the current online process.

I based the sitemap off of the user flowchart, the existing site’s page architecture and similar online businesses within the client’s industry.

I received approval from the client on the first iteration of the wireframes during a client presentation.

I designed the site to follow the existing branding that we had been instituting in their print marketing materials. The client was looking for a high-end look and feel similar to Rolex and David Yurmin.

I did the development of this site using the WordPress platform and by customizing a premium theme’s HTML and CSS styles.
